PayPal can be used all over the world to make and receive payments through the Internet, eliminating the need for paper transactions. You can add to your PayPal balance electronically if you have a confirmed bank account and a PayPal Debit card linked to your PayPal account.

If you don't have an established account or credit card, use MoneyPak.

Add money to your PayPal account using MoneyPak. This is a feature that allows you to add money if you don’t have a PayPal Debit MasterCard or a confirmed bank account.
- Visit a participating PayPal MoneyPak retail location. To find a location near you, visit the locator website.^[1]
- Purchase a MoneyPak card for the amount of money you want in your PayPal account.
- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Enter the MoneyPak number to add funds instantly to your account.

Sign on to your PayPal account. If you need a PayPal debit card, you can apply for it on PayPal’s website. The requirements for obtaining a PayPal Debit MasterCard® are:
- You must have a Premier or Business account in the United States.
- You have to be a PayPal member for at least 60 days.
- You must have a confirmed address that is not a post office box. If you have a physical address linked to another credit card, you can use that to confirm your address for PayPal.
- You must provide your Social Security number and your date of birth.
- You must be an active PayPal member in good standing.

Apply for your debit card.

Click Products & Services on the toolbar at the top of the web page.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click PayPal Debit Card.

Click on Apply Now and follow the instructions.

Add money to your PayPal balance. Before you can begin adding money to your account, you have to set up Balance Manger.
- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Click the My Account tab.
- Click Add Funds at the top of the page.
- Click Balance Manager.
- Select the bank account to use for the transfers.
- Select Schedule regular transfers or Set a minimum amount. You can choose the dollar amount and the frequency of your transfers. For example, you can choose to transfer $50 every week from your specified bank account. If you don’t want a regular transfer, you can choose to set a minimum amount. For example, if you want your PayPal balance to remain at a minimum of $100, you can choose for money to get transferred from your bank account to keep your PayPal account at your desired minimum.
- Enter the required information and click Set Up.
- Review your selections and click Confirm.
